problem buying used is there are many ways around accident/ damage reports, the primary method is in house repairs.
buying a pre emissions truck only carries you so far, lots of companies require certain age trucks at certain levels.
to truly know what youre buying, you should take at face value any of the paperwork, or lack there of. look for differences in paint color,
how the motor looks, and definitely look at the way every alignment mark appears. if there are huge gap differences between left and right doors
its been hit, if its too perfect (on an older truck) its been replaced, trucks have gone into ravines and been rebuilt!
check the history, if it was a mega carrier truck chances are its been beat,
the best advice I got, may sound crazy, but test drive it to a scale house, tell em youre thinking about buying it, pay em for a level1 and take it back if theres something wrong.
its the d.o.t. job to ensure safety, and you cant get giggged if you request a pre-buy inspection and pay for it! -
