First YES i know i can find that out myself by looking here and Company websites, and TRUST me i think i have been to at least 100 sites, and have been on this site for at least 48 out of the last 72 hours, and they all seem to say the same thing about pay and miles. So i wanted to ask people who are living it now!! Some things about me. 1.I'm hoping to go to CDL school this week. 2. I do not care about being home 3. I will work as moch as possible!! 4.Prefer dry van. 5 Want to travel all over the GREATEST country in the world, and maybe Canada,lol.. I'm sure as great as this site is, that their are more then enough Newbies with many diffrent companies living what i hope to be living in the next month or so, so what better people to ask? Thank you and have a great day in the best country in the world!
Two simple questions. Who Pays More, and who get the most miles??

Well good luck with that answer.
I don't believe you'll find it on any forum at the moment.
We can tell you who pays the most (per mile). But miles are down seriously. So overall pay is low for everyone at the moment. -
The reality is, that the best companies want the most experience. Newbies cannot expect to get top pay and work at the best companies right out of training. You can ask this question a hundred times and get a different answer each time, different people like different companies for different reasons. In these economic down times, many companies are on hiring freezes, many are getting stricter in their requirements and many are folding. I am not trying to discourage you, but to suggest that maybe you should concentrate on companies that are hiring and compare the benefits. You may find there isn't much choice and if you really want to get into the industry, you may have to take what you can get while it is there and work your way up to better companies when you have the experience and clean record to offer them. Best of luck to you!

Thanks for the advice, and i understand what your saying. BUT I would still like to know what the newbies are making, just to get an idea of whats out there at this time. And I will most likly take the first one that offers to pay for my school. I think it will be either PAM of US truck. But I have talked to five today and they all sounded positive about my app, so we;ll see what happens. My Army buddy is with Crete and we talk every day, he tells me it is slow but still doing well, and I think better then alot of companies from what i have been reading here and on other sites. I just want to get on the road/ No matter what i make i should be ok. Anyone know a way to bring blood pressure down a few points in a week?? Was told drink lots of water, and sad to say no coffee, lol and i can get some BP pills, but will a week make a diff? HAve a great day...
