In my 8 weeks of training I don't remember sleeping more than 2 hours in a rolling, bumping, bouncing sleeper no matter how tired I got. I too thought I'll eventually get so tired I will sleep. No matter how dog tired I got, and I never got more tired in my life than during those 8 weeks, I would get 10-30 minutes, get bounced awake, take 30+ minutes to fall back asleep, sleep until the next big pothole crash, wash rinse repeat. I never doubted my trainer's ability so the only reason I could not sleep was the being shaken awake or getting angry that I couldn't sleep.
I don't know of any way to know in advance before trying to sleep in a moving truck. Obviously if someone can fall asleep at a rock concert or you haven't once in your life had a neighbor quiet enough so you could sleep next door I'd say that will likely carry over into the truck. It could be a matter of adapting to the moving truck or it might be a permanent feature of someone.Nahbrown Thanks this. -

Check where your fifth wheel is at. In my cascadia, if it's all the way forward the ride is very harsh, at least it feels like behind the wheel. Definitely a noticeable difference when it's slid to be at center of drive axles
