Just maybe. You would be cutting it very close. Because chart says icing begins after Midnight tonight.
You do not want to be in Amarillo.

They have recently expanded the area of forecasted winter weather hazards westward across NM. I was wondering what was taking so long for the NWS to issue hazard notices. Not sure @IluvCATS will get through unscathed but deviating via El Paso from Joplin to SoCal is not an easy choice for some to make

This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of north and central
New Mexico.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
A storm system approaching from the west today will spread valley
rain and mountain snow into central and western New Mexico tonight.
A few inches of snow are possible in the high terrain, especially
above 7,500 feet. A cold front moving into eastern New Mexico today
will set the stage for areas of freezing drizzle and freezing fog
late tonight along the east slopes of the central mountain chain.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
Valley rain showers and mountain snow will continue over central and
western New Mexico Friday and Friday night. Several inches of snow
are possible in the higher terrain, especially above 7,500 feet.
Freezing drizzle and freezing fog along the east slopes of the
central mountain chain early Friday morning will develop into a more
widespread area of freezing rain across eastern New Mexico through
late Friday morning. A transition back over to rain is expected as
temperatures warm. However, if cold air does not retreat from the
eastern plains then freezing rain will persist through the day with
significant icing impacts possible. A reinforcing shot of cold air
Friday night will turn precipitation over to all snow. Significant
snowfall accumulations are possible across the east central and
southeast plains of New Mexico through Saturday morning.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotter activation is not anticipated.
