My wife and I are set to begin with a truckload expedited freight company next week.

What do the company's driving tests all entail? Do they have an ex-Marine with a clipboard and sharp pencil, flat-top hair cut and abs that make Chuck Norris look nerdy?

I expect we'll need to pre-trip the truck, back-up to and hook-up a trailer, then drive 'around town' for a few miles, then back up at least once to a dock.

What should we look out for?

We haven't changed jobs driving for over 14 years, never had a driving skills test before. New experience for an ol' fat dog.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Naw, most are simple as they NEED drivers bad. I remember Heartland Express' test when they would take 5 out in a truck to do a test and this one guy I wouldn't hire to drive my car, yet he made it, unreal. It was funny, he was making the truck hop up and down, couldn't back in, and on and on...I was SCARED in the truck with this guy. I wouldn't be worried even in the slightest bit...
