I've made as little as 900 for a week load to California, then my return trip made me 1100. Then with my current company i just grossed 3200 out and another 2900 back. I'm currently with a specialized company so our freight is better than a typical open deck freight company.

From what I've learned in my short time, it really depends on the company you pick, and how you manage your drive times.

The beauty of flatbed is you're doing all live loads and unloads and the vast majority of people who unload trucks work 9-5 so there's not much benefit in staying out for weeks on end unless you're homeless or something. Go home, see your family, cut the grass, etc

Yea I'm thinking about changing company's because I don't see the point in staying out for weeks and the pay doesn't change the company I'm considering going to is home weekly

I noticed your other pay asking about maverick or Jordan, I dont know much about Jordan other than after you've had some experience with them you can get into their oversize side.

If i had to choose again, I'd probably start with maverick rather than tmc. Ice talked with many of maverick glass haulers and of those that I've talked to, they make a decent paycheck usually out 2 weeks at a time. Once driving for them, you can transfer over to their boat division that they just purchased.

I don't drive for miles, I get a percentage of the load price to haul.
