We are really trying to plan as a family as to what we might expect in a few months as far as salary goes for hubby. He will graduate in Jan and we live in the Tampa Bay are, of Fla. Can you tell me the salary range to expect for him just starting out as a new grad and where a great company would be to start with as a new grad? He does not mind if he is gone all week and home on weekends, or home every night. He is going to be getting his CDL out of Sanford at TDI and does anyone here anything about this school? Good? Bad? pros and cons? Thank you in advance!

a new grad will go out for about 6 weeks then after that about 2 to 3 weeks at a time then home for 2-3day. most will make about 30K first year. the first 6 weeks usally around 350 to 400 a week.

I am also very curious about this...but for an entirely different reason.

We are in the Winter Haven area and I have my own authority...of course, my ex-wife receives child support from me based on some government survey of what a truck driver working for a company would receive.

The difference between the government survey, what a new company driver makes, and what I make is like comparing apples to oranges to bananas...in descending order of income.

What does a first - year company driver in Florida bring home?

Oh My your comment so reminds me of past long ago. Law states NOT what you make but what you can potentially make. Just like you said. If you make 10 an hour and Industry your in averages in 25Hr. they base it on 25hr. for child support. NOT the actuall 10hr. u make. Oh so know this law well.......Brother went thru this NOT me. I paid wrote a check for 16 years every month. Know where your coming from driver. I not far from WHaven. Be safe!!
