I think they should leave like you did. Maybe your company can build a training center there and hire drivers? Or you need to donate your paycheck and eat ramien 3 times a day. Drink outdated bottled water, and puke. While mr free everythings takes your pay and his family to a steakhouse.

 

People aren’t taught about money in school so poor spending habits become multigenerational as kids grow up seeing their parents burdened by debt and spending money on dumb crap so then they think it’s normal to live that way.

An example: my girlfriend’s sister is “single mom” in the eyes of the government even though she lives with the father of their two kids. She knows exactly how much she can work to avoid losing her housing benefits. Last year they got a new car with some of their stimulus money and tax return. When the second round of stimulus money was sent out her 5 year old boy shows up with an iPad and a Nintendo Switch DS because she gave him one of the debit cards from HR Block because “the family didn’t need it”. So to say people aren’t working the system is foolish. And after last year what party do you think people will vote for who benefitted from all the freebies?

 

My thoughts don't apply to them. That's not realistic. If anyone thinks things are super be free that's just ignorant. I am more focused on those who work, sometimes 2 or 3 jobs, and they still come up short. I am more focused on those who have a sick loved one, and gets bankrupted by medical bills, or any other unforeseen issue. The people who think everything should be free are those who have sour grapes about life and hate anyone who does better than them. I want everyone to do well. I don't think everyone is supposed to be well off, I just think everyone should be able to eat and lay their head somewhere and not drown in medical expenses.

 

Man, it doesn't take that much to make what cost of living is in most places. That won't make people rich by a long shot. To meet my obligations, I would need to make about 25 an hour in a normal job. That ain't making anybody rich. In my opinion, I think greed has a little to do with the reason why the cost of everything is so high. The things we need most isnoutnof control. I'll concede this: I wish people realized the power they have as consumers. When things get expensive, they should collectively seek an alternative. Example: Gas is high as hell, and everyone is travelling their ### off lol. Make sense out of that lol

 

Some of them are working the system, and your girlfriend's sister is doing it well she's smart enough to realize that getting married benefits her none, and her child's father is working I'm assuming.... but how hard do you think it is to get an iPad or a Nintendo switch? People get their money however they do. I'm not one to count another's pockets.

 

Stop watching TV and believing all the B's that's being said about the virus. People like you is why alot of businesses closed. Start thinking for yourself

 

Out of control govt regulations and spending are a major problem…the debt can’t be sustained and with those clowns printing money like Monopoly money is causing the value of the dollor to seriously decrease in value therefore causing things rhat everyone buys regularly to cost more…this can’t be sustained whatsoever…

 

The point is she gave a 5 year old his own stimmy debit card, proving that some people spent the stimulus money on dumb crap. Meanwhile, the people who actually pay taxes see no benefit from the taxes they’ve paid in because they make too much money.

Gas is high and people are traveling because the government keeps handing out money. And when people get money without having to work then it’s seen as extra money. People with poor spending habits don’t change their habits when they’re given money for nothing. They just buy more stuff.

I’ve just given up on being mad about it now but it’s been tough to swallow not getting any stimulus while I see everyone around me get their checks and all the other free crap from the government. I pay 1200/mo for health insurance, I pay full price for my kids school, I pay out the rear end on taxes. Yet, here I am spending less then all of these other people that are getting the free money. It’s very frustrating.
