Sunday night I filled out my application. Wednesday morning I received a phone call from a recruiter but I wasn't home so she left me a message. I returned her phone call with in two hours. I sat here until this morning waiting for her to call me back. She never did, I had to call again.

On the phone she seemed to have no clue that she had ever called me let alone seen my application and sent me an email. I wasn't impressed.

Once the phone call started she asked the general questions. Then I had a chance to ask my questions.

I'm to start orientation in two weeks. I'll be driving in the midwest region.

I was told 150 hours out with a trainer then I would get my own truck. They do test you again before they actually give you your own truck, correct?

I was told .30 cents a mile and around 1700 miles a week and home 34 to 36 hours for reset time.

So is this information she told me correct?
Who drove for US Express and had a good or bad experience?

I want to make sure I make a good choice this time before I leave my wife and kids this time for the open road.

From what your saying 1700 miles a week at 30 cents a mile is roughly 480 dollars a week. Thats equal to a 12 buck an hour job 40 a week and home evry night not worth it for that low of pay.

According to what I understand you said in your first post, they're already lieing to you and you haven't even gotten to orientation. That should tell you something.

Can you be just a company driver? Or do you have to lease to make any money?

How did I say the company was already lying to me? I wasn't impressed with the recruiter and her trying to convince me that US Express was the way to go.

My recruiter didn't say anything to me about having to lease a truck. I understand my job will be as a solo company driver only.
