what is the appropiate response when you see another trucker tailgating the snot out of a 4-wheeler? I mean real close, less than a car length. in this example let's say the speed limit is 65 and the car is doing a little over 65 in the left lane and Mr. "I gotta go" truckdriver is right on the car's bumper, flashing his lights , and blowing the air horn! Did I mention the trucker exited the highway 10 miles later and went to a truckstop? So no apparent reason for his behavior!
Tell what would you do and I'll tell you what I did!

The real life answer is nothing you can do but call the company and complain.

They days of giving a tune up are long gone.

nope, not a Swift or any other major carrier. (shoot they cant go over 65 anyway unless its downhill). Actually it appeared to be an O/O for a smaller company. Not that it matters to me, I do the same thing every time I see this behavior.

If it was that bad dial 911 and report it.....

I witnessed a National truck nearly take the nose off of another rig. The driver of the nearly smashed rig got on the cb...no answer....Then she called the company...she was put on hold....finally she called 911 and OR state troopers pulled that other driver over...

If she was making all those phone calls while rolling down the road she is just as bad as he is in a less aggressive way. Most people don't have company phone numbers on speed dial. I wonder if more wrecks are caused by distracted drivers or aggressive idiots.

So that's the excuse for a "steering wheel holder" to cut-off an other driver and get away with it....right?

If it were me...I would have just called 911 and be done with it....she was trying to be polite to a dumb a-z-z.....

I didn't say that. Both were doing something unsafe. At least the aggressive driver was probably paying attention.

I am amazed listening to Sirius radio talk shows how many drivers talk on the phone all day long. IMHO its complacency personified if you think its safe to use a phone while driving.

HMMM, I have enough "bandwidth" in my attention span to talk on the phone and drive (hands free device of course)
dialing could be an issue though i agree

With enough experience (not going to put a length of experience, each is different) and knowledge of what you are doing, talking on BLUETOOTH ENABLED phone is one thing, but holding the thing to your ear and wandering the lanes, is another.

I will talk on my BT until the traffic dictates my full, undivided attention is needed, like in a city, but out in the wide open spaces phone use is a different picture.

Whats the difference between a BT phone and the CB radio, both have their own distraction points, be aware of what you are doing, it is easy to just let the mic drop (its attached) but people won't just drop the phone!
