I am far from getting revenge on anyone. The reason I care about what other people are doing because I am a professional, I not only have to drive for me but I have to drive for everyone around me. I have to antisipate their mistakes. 4 wheelers have less experience and other truck drivers like what you do rideing their bumper will make more mistakes. I have to plan for people like that to keep me safe. As far as my daughter I want her to be a confindent driver and not one afraid to go out of her comfort zone. The only way she can gain experience is get out there and drive including interstates. She does not need a super trucker riding her bumper flashing lights and blowing their horn because she is going slower then you want.
You need a chill pill and go with the flow, if your in that big of a hurry leave sooner but what you do is considered road rage and at some point you will get caught.

What they should do is easy to understand. what isn't easy to understand is the fact that aggressive drivers CAUSE accidents BEHIND them. The one causing the accident behind them doesn't even know they were the cause.

In my opinion...one speeding ticket is enough, enough to hopefully teach the offender that speeding is wrong, whether it be 4 wheeler or bigrigger!
Speed kills, I know first hand, as I said before, (and I am sure DieselBear will attest) working in the EMS proffesion, we have seen and pulled too many children, young adults, adults, and idiots, dead before their time because of speeders. If it was them doing the speeding, or another speeder causing the wreck, somebody didn't need to die.

I always hated to make the call to some father or mother, that they need to come down to "the office", we have bad news! Or have to console some girlfriend or boyfriend because the one they "loved" is laying along the side of the road under the blanket, because they were driving too fast, but they survived.

Try thinking about the other guy for a change, give them a brake (as the saying goes) you aren't the highway manager out there, you are a participant in the mass of traffic flowing up and down the roadway system. If your schedule is to tight for you to follow the rules, then it is your fault for not planning the trip correctly, or your fault for staying to long at the truckstop just shooting the BS with the other truckers. Manage your time, and find management of the highway and other drivers in a calmer way!:biggrin_25525:

that I opened! I would say "sorry", but I would be lying. I am very happy to see that so many drivers are professionals and agree with me. But I am also saddened to see how many "cowboys" out there who seem to think that their actions have no consequenses! Well, I hope that no one you love has to suffer from some stupid driver and their reckless behavior. What a tragedy that so many people have to learn lessons the hard way!
It's no wonder truckers cant improve their lot in life, we can't even agree on the simplest of issues, like tailgating is dangerous and wrong!
Didn't some one say "Divide and conquer"?
Maybe someday all truckers will wise up and then we will see attitudes and perceptions improve

    Sorry Nana....

It's unfortunate that Swift, Hunt, National, and Werner all have reputations that precede them....No doubt that they have good drivers...but the overall safety records speak volumes......

What the Hell can a 4-wheeler do?

At the very worst, it'll become a decorative part of the trailer.......

The thread is about jack a-z-zed drivers who think they are above everyone else and think it's cool to compromise our safety....Drivers and 4 wheelers alike......

Perhaps to satisfy the "You drive yours and I'll drive mine" types....those of us who plan ahead, drive professionally, and responsibly, should just pull over to the shoulder let these jacka-z-zes pass on by....
I'm sure we'll pass them up when we see them wheels up.... in a ditch.....and btw...I won't stop for a moron either.....

    Remember..."I'm driving mine...driver..."

That's why when I see somebody tailgating I don't bother notifying the company . I get the unit number and DOT number and get the insurance company contact info from SafeStat .

Take the info off the truck and the plate number off the trailer and drop the dime, call dps and his company. Don't confront him it wont do any good just let dps do there job, if hes at a truck stop that makes it easier for dps. No sympathy for this hang'um high.

It can be interesting how someones user name accurately defines their outlook.

Just hope he stays in his own little corner of "HIS" world, and away from others who don't think the world owes them. :biggrin_25510:

I wonder if channel 9 would work better than dialing 911?

A TRUE professional pays attention to everything happening around him while driving. That includes paying attention to idiot "steering wheel holders" who drive aggressively and badly! If all of us had your attitude towards unsafe and reckless drivers, there would be SO many more idiots out there putting other lives in jeopardy.
We do "mind our own business", until we see those a z z holes doing something stupid and dangerous just so they can get to the TS 3 minutes sooner to jump out and pee on their boots in the parking lot 20 feet away from the entrance!

I once saw three transport america trucks involved with each other in a rear end collision on 80/94 near the il/in border. It looked like an australian road train!
