so today I was stopped while coming thru the weigh station in Kentucky. I really wasn't worried about it much being that I had just passed a level 1 inspection two weeks prior and that I was carrying an empty trailer. however, after sitting there for a period of time he cited me for the company not updating the UCR and not having a KYU permit.
I don't understand why I was cited for the permit. when they allowed to me to get a temporary one online and then continue my trip. however, I was also cited for the UCR.
the problem I have with all of this is, I am a company driver. instead of him issuing them to the company he issued them to me personally as if I was an owner operator. after telling him about his mistake. he then asked me am I company driver ( which I said yes) after already making the citation and he told me that he can only issue it to me and I represent the company.
I personally just don't want these citation on my MVR.
UCR citation given to me as a driver?!?!?!

Okay i was wondering because on the ticket it say violation part 392 fed safety reg- driving of a motor vehicle and then he has it in the notes that it’s the permit and registration

Kentucky money grab is all it is on the permit.

The permit violation is on the driver. You are suppose to know what permits you need and keep your permit book up to date. That applies to company drivers too. You might get your company to reimburse you for buying the permit. They should IMO. If there was also a fine then good luck getting reimbursed for that. It's no different than a missing license plate or IFTA sticker.
