Well I had roughly 2O gallon of fuel when I stopped and got 6O gallons of fuel. It gave me a little over 1/4 tank, which was good because all I had to do was about 1OO miles. Before I leave I go to get my truck washed and get the engine cleaned. They clean truck and engine, and I pull start truck up in the wash bay and my gauge moved down and my low fuel warning is on???? I drive about 6O miles and it seems to move up a little. But I slept with truck off last night, and fuel is back low again.......any ideas????
ughhh, what now?? Fuel issue.....

Is it a Freightshaker? That have a system called equiflo which balances out the fuel level in both tanks.
-
Need more info: one or 2 tanks, what are the tank capacities?
If you have dual tanks then only putting 60 gallons in might show a 1/4 tank, until the fuel equalizes between tanks. You may have a bad vent or equalizer valve, and all the full is going to the tank that does not have the gauge sending unit in it. -
Sorry didn't realize this was in the Volvo forum. Chicago first thing in the morning can play tricks on the mind..lol!!

The last three volvos I have had all have had float problems. They put new senders and floats and now the readings are dead on.
