After reading this thread, I wonder about why don't owners learn from the megas, they sell themselves, owners who are dependent on brokers are missing out on a lot of freight, good paying freight.

If anyone who is working for Landstar may explain how that system works and why it is a good learning experience.

 

Y'all know you can see what brokers are getting paid, right? Call DAT and for $300 a month, they'll give you all the data you want.

 

$300 now...?! Oh my goodness!
Transparency would not be good for them. They would lose all that, if it was given away for free...attached to every rate confirmation.

But what sort of poeple are they, selling that info?!
Or....What sort of people want to buy it?!

Owners and megas are like stars and meteorites. Completely different objects in the Universe.
