I wish I knew what is your level.
For all 6.5 years I've been here all I hear from you is some indistinct mumbling jargon. I try hard to understand it but I fail.
Try to construct a meaningful sentence for a change.
Say something of substance instead of slogans.
Speak normally, if you want to be understood or you want to carry a meaningful message.

Like how am I suppose to decipher this?
"...thinking they were different than all other has beens"
    What is the meaning?
I am a foreigner I apologize. Cut me a slack with semantics.
But...I am afraid it has a hostile intention, does it not?

Be honest @TallJoe how often do negotiate with a broker versus point and click booking?

7 times out of 10 when they call me - sometimes I call or email to ask for more money too.
With Uber I don't because there isn't such a need.
Yeah about 6-7 out of 10 times there is some form of negotiation.
Sometimes I click and book satisfied with what I get.
The way it works is that you bid high on a load that lingers on their board or shows up late in a day they either accept it or call you.
Even with bidding you argue for the rate.
    Satisfied?

Maybe I should have worked it differently.
What percentage of your loads are booked via a app?

For anyone who’s waiting for rates to get better with the upcoming shopping season, I don’t think it’s going to happen.

    100%
    I could cancel DAT entirely.
    But!
Those are not apps - except Uber or Convoy - to click and book, those are app like load boards belonging to brokers on which you bid, you call or they call you.
Uber, Convoy, CH Robinson, XPO, Schneider, JB Hunt, Coyote, Swift...and I think that's it. That's what I've dealt with except maybe for a few odd loads in the last 3 years or so.

You do realize that when you bid on a load and “win”. You were most likely the lowest bid.
How would “transparency” help you if you’re already the lowest bid?

Example: the lates series of runs
Des Plaines, IL- Bay City, MI 330 miles $1030 awarded by algorithm
Saginaw, MI - Minneapolis, MN 550 miles $1640 clicked and book
Minneapolis, MN - Dayton OH 705 miles $1650 awarded by a person
Lima, OH - Buffalo Grove, IL 260 miles $880 by a person

    So?
Transparency will help me the next time to be more daring.
    Besides,
I may be the only one bidding or bidding first or calling and bidding first. It does not always mean there are others bidding on the load.

    Even if,
How's that different from your calling an X Logistics and agreeing to a rate over the phone? If they give it to you is not because of your charming pitch but because you are also agreeing to take it for less than all others before you.

I hate calling unknown brokers and signing their agreements.

I feel much much more comfortable to deal with big brokers.
And that's been my business model since 2019 - the last 3 years.
Peace of mind is the key word.
