How will that help you make more if you go from lowest bid to say number 5, if the broker is going with the cheaper carrier?
The way I see it,that’s only going to cause you more frustration.

It would generally help to assess the market situation. To ask for a rate and not to be said lies that there is not that much money on that load, things like that.
Maybe new owner operators would not be too shy to ask for more without experience of seeing what the lanes could pay potentially.
Psychologically, knowing what the pay potential is can be very efficiently exploited at the right circumstances.

This is what would happen when I used to haul cars
I always asked for more $
There were a couple companies that would post their moves with the rate
when I called and they new it was us they would automatically tell us a higher price
1- they knew I would ask and 2- they knew our service
Sometimes they would call us directly to see if we were in the area and give a rate, when checked against the board it was always much higher

You can ask anyone any questions that you want to. It’s a free country. There is nothing at all stopping you from approaching shippers and asking what they’re paying to move their loads. If you feel you need that leverage so that you can negotiate with the broker more effectively then I suggest finding a way to get that info on your own instead of hoping the government steps in to help you.

Because what you view as good someone else doesn’t. Same as there are people that want speed limiters but you don’t because it would hurt your business.

He uses non standard form of statements. A lingo that I really find difficult to comprehend. But I take it on me.
However, whatever I could understand, it is nothing of substance but more often than not condescending half statements and slogans. @Ruthless is a self proclaimed wizard too dignified to have a normal conversation. He is not advising, proving you wrong, correcting, debating, convincing or suggesting but he throws a meme or masqueraded offenses, if not insults.
I can accept someone trying to resent and ridicule someone else but only when it is done directly and backed by logical and understandable arguments.
If you attack, do it like it is supposed to be in a civilized debate. You want to call someone dumb, do it directly and back it up.
