Under $2/mile loads with $6/gal diesel.

None of my business is their wallets and sex life.
This is already a regulated industry in which evey carrier is restricted as to what form and fashion they can operate.
HOS, Insurance, Safety protocols, type of operations etc. Perhaps it could be even argued that operating too cheap can compromise public Safety.
Thus, manifesting a shipper's rate does not appear to me as overreaching but merely as a measure to promote the optimal outcome for all the parties involved.

 

I just read recently a broker saying they lost over 20 million in 2021, because they were in contract and did not want to lose their long time customer.
What do you think about that? @TallJoe

 

Well, not trying to be smart or flippant, but what would ya'll do without brokers?
Call every place you knew of?

The truth of the matter is you need them more than they need you.

 

1. Loyalty is overrated.
2. Capitalism can be cruel.
3. Transparency would have not changed a thing, however, someone like you would at least know that they did not lie saying that it was all they had in it before rejecting or accepting what they would offer you.

12 months ago the roles were quite the opposite.
