    I agree. It is a bad situation all the way around but I have never seen a 1099 where there was actual cash payments and not checks or some type of paper trail.

    I made the mistake once of being paid with a 1099. Luckily I talked to some other drivers and paid my taxes quarterly. I owed the feds but usually got back what I paid to the state
