    Not sure how this was authenticated or the particulars of how it came to surface but I will take the story at face value. I wonder who took most of their photos that are currently known to exist? It's interesting.

    Seriously, they must have been so "egotistical" that they hired a trusted photographer to document their last days (they knew they were running on borrowed time by then)

    I would imagine being that they had many fans that probably some journalist. That photo was taken in the Joplin area.
