To many people drove off with the air lines connected and fouled up the system?

Or they got tired of blocking a fuel station for people that wanted to check air pressure?

It was a nice idea that didn't pan out is all.

Its better if all drive tires are at same pressure. It equalizes the wear on the treads, they last longer.

I don't think it was ever such a great idea. Tire pressure should be checked when the tires are cold.

    ProfessionalNoticer and tscottme Thank this.

I’d like to add to make sure it’s actually filling your tires by giving it a quick air in for 15 secs and checking the air pressure. Sometimes because the leak on the line is so bad or the system ain’t working properly it will deflate your tire. Now instead of having a slightly low but workable 90 psi you got basically a flat tire 75 psi. Oh and push your finger against the valve to feel if any air is slowly leaking out sometimes dust gets lodged into the valve and keeps it very slightly open and you’ll find a completely flat tire the next day.

Tire tool: Valve Wrench. Tighten Valve. Available, Usually at Auto Parts Stores as well Most Truck Stop Shops/General Merchandise.

I Used To Air Up ALL TIRES between 100 - 105, COLD.

According To Truck Tire Manufacturers, 25% Low Air Pressure From Stated Max is FLAT, and should be aired up in a Cage.

Tires should have the same air pressure, air it up.

At many Love's every other fuel pump or several of the fuel pumps will have an air hose> many times they are near the in front of the fuel pump. Some of them are broken. Some of them have an on/off valve on the iron pipe before in connects to the flexible air hose. BTW, that is where you can get water, if you need it.
