unfair charge for unit damage caused driver

    If you are being paid on a 1099, then the contract you signed will probably screw you. Are you 1099? What does your contract say about this?

    And you can likely kiss any chance of ever seeing you escrow again goodbye.

    Good points. Even with being paid 1099 and a contract he could win. I was paid like that but not as a driver and won without an attorney. Just being paid 1099 and having a contract does not make one an independent contractor. It is the underlying relationship. There are Federal rules and the rules vary slightly by State but are mostly the same.
