I don’t know...... my head is spinning I’ve heard so many versions of the law....

I believe the manufacturer can only make 300 units a year.........? If so good luck getting one .

Sorry, & I know this is asking a lot but...
As far as I know the only gliders I've seen lately are Pete's, Kenny's, Stars, & Shakers. So do you think that means 1200 total gliders a year, or only 600 because Paccar owns 2, & Daimler owns 2..?

I have no money to buy a glider at the moment. Just interested..

I can’t recall the year, but coming up the emissions will have to match the year of the glider. So basically they will go back to the way they used to be, wreck a fairly new truck and take the running gear from it and built a kit. The days of building a kit to skirt emissions and eld’s are pretty much done.

That's pretty tough. Epa should give at least 3-5yrs back on engine year to glider chassis. Someone could wreck a low mile tractor with a worthy powertrain..

I wonder if some company will start buying 90's cabs from bone yards. Rebuild/refurbish it from the ground up to like new & start selling those. Salvage, or rebuilt title maybe..

The current engines are EPA ‘15 I thought? So that’s going to be a few years back from when it all starts. Plus there’s a chance it could maybe get reversed again. It got reversed once, and then the reversal got reversed. Lol.

If the rumor I heard was true, there will be no more paccar gliders, at least for the time being.
The eay I understood the 300 limit, was 300 was all one company can build a year, not the total limit of gliders that could be sold. A couple of companies up here that I personally know of bought 5 a piece and put them together,
It was not so much to skirt emissions, but to have a cat for power.

Straight from KW... Remember there are exempt and non-exempt gliders.
