    So you’ve got to go to someone who built gliders in 2014 for money. And they can only build as many as they did back then per year up to a maximum of 300.

    Supply and demand..... they’ll cost 300K for sure.....

    Pretty convoluted system.. Wonder how much the big glider companies donated to their politicians to make the law come out that way..

    Seems a one truck outfit building one every 10-15 years wouldn't hurt. But nope, they sewn that up nice & tight.. o_O

    EPA is not enforcing it through Dec. 2019. There's an article on it & the 300 unit clause is gonna get repealed. So will see.

    Several articles online. The guy that resigned at the epa opened the loophole back up before he left

    My Eagle 4300 double bunk glider I bought new in 1984. Was $27,000 new,sold through the IH parts dept.,back then. Built it myself from my 77 4300,basically have a new truck,and no excise tax back then,either on glider kits.

    Only chassis available to order is Western star 4900 there about 95k with reman rears or a Freightliner, epa is not enforcing there 2019 rules, paccar shut off chassis due to fact they are not selling there junk engines that they sunk millions in research and development and it's a little more paperwork for the dealers

    They almost are 300k lol about 225k for a complete glider now, depends on how well you know your dealership if they will sign off on it if you build it

    I think Fitzgerald really caught the government’s attention that the builders weren’t collecting FET like they should have been. And Fitz’s argument was “None of the other guys are collecting it either”. Strings get pulled, epa ruling reversal gets reversed, and here we are.
