Generally if you can’t make a load you call dispatch. One of three things happens:
1: you roll in late
2: you relay the load
3: dispatch sells the load to owner ops for big moneyAnother Canadian driver Thanks this. -
might be waiting for a long time to get moving again with some good miles to earn that paycheck.
you may only want to refuse a load, IF you have communicated your situation WAY ahead in advance of them assigning you another load to take.
on the spot "refusals", can be misconstrued as refusing to work.
gotta keep that line of communications open at all times.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
You told your dispatch IN WRITING that you did not have the hours to complete this run , BEFORE you started it ?
always always communicate with dispatch in writing .
Text or email or whatever .
you can’t print out phone calls and show them in court .Another Canadian driver and Geekonthestreet Thank this. -
But magically as soon as they leaned I recorded every call they stopped Lying .Another Canadian driver, Geekonthestreet and (deleted member) Thank this. -
