operations anywhere is sketchy under stress. did you message in you did not have the hours to make otd?

 

Generally if you can’t make a load you call dispatch. One of three things happens:
1: you roll in late
2: you relay the load
3: dispatch sells the load to owner ops for big money

 

you can "try" to refuse loads.....but many times, companies in the past put you on the bottom of the crap pile for another load.

might be waiting for a long time to get moving again with some good miles to earn that paycheck.

you may only want to refuse a load, IF you have communicated your situation WAY ahead in advance of them assigning you another load to take.

on the spot "refusals", can be misconstrued as refusing to work.

gotta keep that line of communications open at all times.

 

You told your dispatch IN WRITING that you did not have the hours to complete this run , BEFORE you started it ?

always always communicate with dispatch in writing .
Text or email or whatever .

you can’t print out phone calls and show them in court .

 

Year ago used the suction cup and mini cassette recorders , to record my dispatchers , I told em I did it because I was dyslexic, and needed to replay the tape for the address .
But magically as soon as they leaned I recorded every call they stopped Lying .

 

Just quit and go somewhere else. All your problems will be solved

 

Sorry just seeing This how many companies are based in New Ulm?
