Thanks everyone. Gonna seee if they will extend the time . The issue isn’t the driving as I already have a cdl it’s passing the physical. with a foot that is braced and doesn’t work at all.

you know, that if you let your DOT card lapse, you stand the chance to have your C DL downgraded, and you'll have to go thru this crap all over again?
i say take the brace off, get your new DOT card.
they don't check feet......
i never even had an exam that asked me to walk.DC818, brian991219 and TROOPER to TRUCKER Thank this. -
Foot and ankle injuries are the worst. Lots of research lately on the foods produced nowadays and the inflammation it causes. Doctors dont study about nutrition so they push surgery and meds on everyone for everything.Try a gluten free diet for a week and see if it dont help. Basically no bread or pasta. Rice potatoes and corn, meat and veggies are all good. Check labels for wheat. Lots of sauces and fast food burgers are loaded with wheat.

TROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this. -
I had a doctor kneel down and hold both of my ankles for 10 seconds or so. I can only assume she was checking for prosthetic legs. This would not affect TTT in his situation lolTROOPER to TRUCKER Thanks this.

It will not happen that way.
Once the DOT medical lapse that means you are no longer Tier One for interstate or intrastate commerce. If you do not swear to and sign a oath on paper that you are Tier Two meaning CDL is good but cannot work on anything like you did before you have it grandfathered. Then when you get your DOT medical back, return to the DMV and swear out a Tier one and sign, then you are ready to go back trucking.
The minute your DOT medical expires which are tied to licensing these days anywhere in the USA your CDL A also is downgraded to a car license and you will have to do everything all over again within a year to get that rating back to CDL A. But only if you have a valid DOT medical. -
Thanks for the advice but I can’t walk without the brace or I will fall and keep messing up my ankle it’s broken right now.buddyd157 Thanks this.
