Oh come on? Frankly...I think you were being a bit childish and were just carrying on. I mean seriously...your brother-in-law the cop? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....laying it on a bit thick weren't you? :D I've never met a driver that had much to do with a brother-in-law...much less brag about him being a cop.

As to where I park...I like to take my 10s on the fuel island. If I can't do that, I try to park some place where my reefer bothers as many drivers as possible. Then I try to make sure that I can peel a mirror off the whiner next to me when I pull out at 3:45 AM. :D

By the way...You didn't strike a nerve with me, I just thought that since you were so concerned about how the other driver was going to park at the Mall that you were concerned that you wouldn't get the kiddy concert tickets he was going to give you. I'm sorry...maybe I shouldn't have mentioned Miley Cyrus. Were you expecting Justin Bieber tickets?

Trespassing is certainly a citable offense (though criminal, not a moving violation), as is disorderly conduct (unrelated to thread). I've been ticketed for both on private property in my colorful past.

Your BIL the cop proposes a bus driver can just run into a vehicle parked in a bus stop zone and that crash is the sole responsibility of the stationary parked vehicle...?!

The OP is somewhat vague about that, Mr. Mason:
Try not posting non-facts, see if that helps me. You and your BIL the cop seem to remain unaware of the "last clear chance" doctrine of torts, among others:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_clear_chance
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duty_of_care
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Proximate_cause

Now you're just raving. It was an absolutely perfect day at the golf course... weather-wise, anyway.

    ChefBrianN Thanks this.

I trust Wikipedia sources about as much as the bil cop. Look parked illegally or not you hit him its your fault. You could have reported him to have him towed or waited on him but to say he owes half because he was parked illegally makes no sense.
