Uniden Wont Talk or Receive

    Hey Yall. I Have a Uniden Pro510xl in My Huntin Truck and After I Took The Stock Antenna Off And New Coax With a 102 Whip It Wont Talk or Recieve. Just Static. I Dont Know If Its The Coax Or The Radio. Any Suggestions?

    If I understand you correctly. You replaced you old antenna & coax. If so I would first check the coax. Making sure that you have the center wire & braid are connected correct. Checking that the antenna is grounded. Use a OHM meter. Check radio starting at the PA/CB if it has one. Then the mic cord for a break.

    yea 10-4 i went out to the shop today and had them do a once over.turns out that the plastic washer on the antenna stud was on the bottom when it was supposed to be on top and it was grounding itself out and i had a flimzy ##### spring and that was causing high SWR on the radio.simple fix. thanks for the input
