Depends on what the employee handbook says about that. Some companies require a worked notice to be paid for vacation time .Don’t think there a law where the police can make an arrest about vacation time

in my state PTO you have earned is counted as unpaid income the employee is owed, whether fired or quit without notice doesnt matter you are suposed to be paid.

Only 20 states require the employer to pay if you don't return to work.

A week or so after my anniversary date I get my vacation pay direct deposited.
I'm not sure what would happen if I quit just before the payout, but if I quit before the anniversary date I probably would not get it.
If you time your vacation to coincide with when they pay the vacation pay it would not be a problem. Ya?BillyBobFrank Thanks this. -
Depends on the state. Call your labor board for a definitive answer.
