I also heard the same from a driver in Brunswick. He said they had to go in the office and sign new paperwork for United Road.

Yup they signed the paperwork over a week ago. Can't say they bought them to compete with Cooper since that is union vs non union.

Huh, maybe I need to call JC and UR and see if they are still in the buying mood, I would be chump change to those guys.
Just kidding of course, but some days between the FMCSA, DOT, CARB, new rules and regs, new truck issues, rising costs, all off these newbie's with there pickups and wedges, falling freight rates, and all of the other associated BS going on in this industry, some days I wonder.passingthru69, Hammer166, Speedloader and 3 others Thank this. -
Stan, for Pete's sakes, stick to the specialty vehicle work ....... I'm starting to get nervous and thinking that way again myself .......
KANSAS TRANSIT Thanks this. -
I heard all types of stuff and let it go in one ear and out the other i heard Black Diamond was higher bidder that got beat out by Jack Cooper and that they where in the process of buying waggoners and united road
Also heard Jack Cooper was setting up a second company to handle the allied part they bought so it could be NON union Im hoping that part is true if nothing else is -
Allied has a company something to that affect already. Axis is like their logistics outfit.
I don't think URS is going anywhere anytime soon. Were just bought out at the end of last year by Charlesbank. URS has been owned by investment outfits for well over 5 years now.
