Hello! So I was driving my otr refrigerated knight transportation truck through the grapevine in cali when I got a phone call from United Road. They said they processed my application and I can do OTR out of there Ohio terminal.... Told the lady I would call back because my brain froze lol. I didn't know what to ask so i'll ask you guys.
Does company otr car hauling pay more than company refrigerator otr? I gross about $1300 a week, $1000net. It's very steady pay here at knight. I got my cdl back in July 2015 (^_^). I live in the truck so that's why my pay is so steady. I don't know what united road drivers pay is. The only thing I got to go on is the banner on there site that says drivers average $50k/yr. But I have $50k/yr here to so I'm getting i'll make the same money?
Does anyone know there pay at united road for new drivers?? Any pay stubs? Anything??? INFO?? Please

Pretty good deal you have with Knight.
S M D Thanks this. -
In my single days there were usually girls at the restaurant bar near the hotel. I didn't stay at the same hotels all the time for no reason. Most carhaulers don't sleep in a truck.

Car-hauling is gonna be WAY more frustrating than Reefer work.

With you living in Chicago, I would apply with Cassens. Take the United Road job until Cassens calls to get a jump start on the training, but Cassens will be better benefits and retirement.
cburch21, interpreter, 12 ga and 4 others Thank this.
