Even the fools you mentioned should be protected by law, Unitrans owes me close to $10,000 in unpaid wages, multiplied by who knows how many other drivers Butkevicius did not pay for driven miles, it adds up to a lot of money. -
New developments in the news -
Increasingly, district attorneys (DAs), state attorneys general (AGs), and other criminal prosecutors are bringing charges against employers for wage theft, misclassification and payroll fraud, workplace safety hazards, sexual assault, and human trafficking, among other crimes against workers. This development represents a shift, because historically, crimes against workers have not generally been prosecuted. More often, the criminal justice system has intervened to protect employers; for example, a worker stealing from an employer would likely face charges, while an employer committing wage theft likely would not.

I realize those reviews can be fake but the thing is there is almost no other method for a driver to check out what an employer, a smaller company like Unitrans, is like. The forums like this one help with sharing experiences.

80-90CPM! EXPERIENCED CDL CLASS-A OTR TRUCK DRIVERS. SOLO AND TEAMS...
Still promising above average pay, typing the fairytale terms in all caps, and probably scamming many unsuspected drivers the same way. Still in business while the State of Illinois takes no action to investigate the complaints.
The owner Andrius Butkevicius also goes by the Americanized name Andrew Butkus.
