Talking about being ill informed, there was nothing about Unitrans not paying all of its drivers at the time I got hired, Unitrans had 5 star rating on Google Reviews, there are also different companies named Unitrans across the U.S.

It tells what you can get away with in the State of Illinois. One of the easiest way to get thousands of dollars in illegal way and keep doing it for years is to register a business and not pay all workers, the story of Andrius Butkevicius in Illinois. The Labor Department does not systematically track repeat offenders.

Even the fools you mentioned should be protected by law, Unitrans owes me close to $10,000 in unpaid wages, multiplied by who knows how many other drivers Butkevicius did not pay for driven miles, it adds up to a lot of money.

New developments in the news -
Increasingly, district attorneys (DAs), state attorneys general (AGs), and other criminal prosecutors are bringing charges against employers for wage theft, misclassification and payroll fraud, workplace safety hazards, sexual assault, and human trafficking, among other crimes against workers. This development represents a shift, because historically, crimes against workers have not generally been prosecuted. More often, the criminal justice system has intervened to protect employers; for example, a worker stealing from an employer would likely face charges, while an employer committing wage theft likely would not.

You realize those google reviews, and Amazon, can be manipulated and are not a realistic measure of a company or product. They should be used in conjunction w all other methods to glean a more honest measure.

I realize those reviews can be fake but the thing is there is almost no other method for a driver to check out what an employer, a smaller company like Unitrans, is like. The forums like this one help with sharing experiences.

Honest TB, it would appear that this fellow American has had a bit of a rough stretch, so to speak, and needs someone to step up, and help them. Could you find it in that large heart of yours, to help out? Maybe extend the "sign a lease, keep the pen (for $6.99)" promotion a few more days? I fully understand you started BYOB&CBD to make money, but maybe, just maybe, this good deed on your part may start the ball rolling, where it's continually paid forward.

That might make you feel as good as @Frank Speak being locked in the Bowling Green bloodbank!

Looks like Unitrans Inc is posting Craigslist ads across the country these days, Miami, Minneapolis, etc.

80-90CPM! EXPERIENCED CDL CLASS-A OTR TRUCK DRIVERS. SOLO AND TEAMS...

Still promising above average pay, typing the fairytale terms in all caps, and probably scamming many unsuspected drivers the same way. Still in business while the State of Illinois takes no action to investigate the complaints.

The owner Andrius Butkevicius also goes by the Americanized name Andrew Butkus.

Butkevicius sounds like the hybridization of Dick Butkus and Sid Vicious.;)
