Unknown damage to hood of company truck, do I report it?

First, the DVIR is for issues that cause the vehicle not to comply with 49 CFR 396. There is a list of items that must be inspected. Cosmetic damage is not included.
Second, given your history with this carrier, you're between a rock and a hard place. Report it, you may be blamed and terminated. Let them find it, you will blamed and possibly terminated. I honestly see little upside for you to hide thisLonesome Thanks this. -

No . No reason to report it. That's basic wear and tear on a truck. Maybe drop by a truck wash least once a year and wash that brake grime off ur wheels. I bet those things are nice and shiny underneath

I would not want them to find something that obvious that I did not report first.
