Ok, serious question... You have made that statement (I think) a few times. And your profile is only accredited with EIGHT total comments too... Another reason to question the true purpose of your repeated post on this subject.
Are you a salesperson for Verizon? Just how does paying $250/mo (thinking you said it was $300/mo in another place) anything close to a good deal when one can get unlimited from other carriers for less than $100/mo???
And if you say "well, Verizon massive foot print is worth the additional $150-$200 per month" ... Ha ha ha.... sorry... NOPE!!!
If I have made a false assumption or missing something, I might apologize but I doubt I will need to do so... lol
Stay Safe whoever you are.

New to the forum and starting by checking out how to stay connected to the internet while I'm traveling isn't a reason to suspect something. If I'm selling for Verizon, then I'm doing a poor job of it! If this were an easy problem there'd be one answer and no need to discuss.

First, welcome.
Second, still seems very odd, to me, to be constantly plugging such an expensive option if you aren't benefiting... But I will take your word.
Third, you go do that math and please let us know if, and under what circumstances, that package is viable for you.
I am curious now... LOL

Believe it or not, this has become a serious endeavor! I'll researching as I type...

I'm with Verizon and I have 60 gigabytes of data plus unlimited talk and text for what one pays for 30gbs due to them having a promotion at the time I was looking into upping my data to 100 gb a month. I download, listen and watch a lot of things each month; so having unlimited data would help me a ton.
My current bill for 60gb and unlimited talk and text is 272.00 a month on a single line. I'm close to pulling the trigger on getting this hotspot to see how it works. Initially it's 200.00 for the device from them. A one time charge and it's yours. Or if you decide to get the hotspot device and bring it over its 130.00 for set up. Then after that it'll be 250.00 per month. -
Also correction it's also the 250 for the first month. Which would make the upfront cost 450.00 then it'll be the regular 250.00.
Or if you bring your device over it'll be 380.00 initially and then 250.00 per month. -
I run T-Mobile as my primary and I have a Verizon phone with a gig of data as a backup. T-Mobile is non existent north of Cheyenne to the Canadian border and as far west as SLC, or Seattle if you are going there. Almost any other mid sized city will have 4G. Sometimes it really surprises you, middle of nowhere but 4G. Also, T-Mobile offers unlimited data in Canada so if you cross the border a lot like I do it helps.
I love T-Mobile, good prices, great CS and truly unlimited data. My only complaint is coverage.radioshark and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this. -
Hearing about this Verizon plan just shows just how out of whack they are about data. But them and AT&T are like two peas in a pod... Not much competition there. -

It's expensive I was sharing what I learned for those who heard of it. The most I use data is when I'm traveling so most of the country Verizon is good. Sprint drops too much for my taste and I use to work in a call center for t-mobile and they shipped the business overseas so I'm not a huge fan of theirs and wish AT&T had been able to buy them out. But alas.
