My torn shoulder wasn't because of kingpin issues. I was locked into the trailer the landing gear was stripped and when I was raising the landing gear that is what got me.

On a side note many trailers were dropped at the right height. But trailer suspension wasn't dropped first or unable to in some cases .. once trailer bleeds air off it raises the nose .. if I find one dropped high sometimes I hook up lines and fill suspension with air then set brakes again voila right height in many cases

Since I run a spring ride, I'm one of the much maligned "high droppers", and some will just have to get over it. I hate wiping all my grease off every time.Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
Pulling the handle was only step one. Finding a pry bar and prying the jaws apart was step two. -
