My husband is new to this industry, as am I. I'm hoping to find some information to help us.
He worked for a major trucking company and agreed to a six month contract. He was home all of 6 days in his first 4 months then agreed to have an owner/operator buy out his contract. Since then, he has not been paid one red cent.
He has 4 weeks left to fulfill his six months but we are fearful about what happens next. Is there any recourse to get his wages back (now or later)? We figure it will be a wash between the loan to the company & his pay. When he hits the 6 month mark he plans to walk away, expecting loan= his pay. What can the o/o do to his dac (sp?) report?
We are new, confused & concerned. Any advice is very much appreciated.![]()

So is he working for said 'major company' or this owner/op? Why isn't he being paid?
-
The owner/op bought his contract from the company, so he works for this guy (co-drivers). Why he hasn't been paid is usually "times are tough" type excuses.
I wasn't sure where to post this, sorry if I went to the wrong forum. -
There are a LOT of O/Os on there who could give precise answers for you.
Not many O/Os post in the particular section from what I've seen. They are all usually in there own little corner on here.
