Not be mean, but Canada has very screwy laws. I don't take anything that is law in Canada as the same as the US.

Perhaps, but I'll unload the truck myself if they'll let me.

We just want to get our work done, and not get stuck with extra work tomorrow due to delays today. Unless you're my last stop, that is. Then you can take your sweet ole' time.

Dont blame you there. But I have seen a Yellow Frt.dr.who was in a hurry to get a ticket signed.Reason was hidden damage to freight.Receiver told him he would reload it and to bring it back later. He waited for photos and the damage check.I all ways wondered if they got a bonus for no damage. The damage was done by wharehouse not driver.

If that were me, it would be because I would want to get out of there before they decide to refuse it so I wouldn't have to work around it the rest of the day, especially if it's something oversize.

Drivers rarely damage anything in this business, but freight is handled by so many other people, that damage is a very distinct possibility.

Often, I find shipments destroyed before I even see them.

I run chicago all the time.It helps to be a little insane. My wife just closes her eyes alot lol. I have been backing in at places and have had people drive up on the sidewalks to get around me. the worst ones of all are the dumpbucket drivers.when I get home and drive my wife and kids will say where not in chicago.:biggrin_25517:

I've been the dry goods warehouse manager for little over 3 months. Just about anything we have delivered by P&D companies is damaged. I get stuff from Yellow, Roadway, UPS, and FedEx it does not matter who, at least one pallet will be damaged. Drivers never complain, I just right it on the BOL and away they go. On loads that are received by the truck load, 19 plus pallets there is hardly any damage.

O yea I have seen wharehouse workers playing bumper cars with frieght.I saw a diesel engine destroyed and it took a good fork lift driver because the metal frame around it wasnt even scratched. And this happened twice all by Yellow but they was shippers choice.Reciever got Freight trucks in and out useally no wait time But since Yello screwed them on damage which wasnt drivers fault but you know it trickles down.Diff, full load most of the time is loaded just once.LTLs are loaded at times several times.

OK, I'll give that............Quebec should have both French and English signs, but once you get out any major city, it's all french and then the people pretend they can't understand or speak English.

Canada's firearms laws are a joke, that covers all of Canada.

Well I did do a little research for the U.S. and it was easy. I don't believe there's a need to look at all the states since common sense plays a major role here. All I did was search for "Entering Freeways Right-of-Way" and after reading a few states ( TX,MI,ND,CA,FL,) that said the same thing I don't think I need to go any further. They all said that the existing traffic has the right-of -way. So I'll go back to my original post to you and say I believe you're wrong.
