Hey guys firsr thanks for all the help thanks to you guys I literally aced my backing maneuvers and shifting. With that being said, although I did everything good enough to pass I had one major problem that prevented me from passing. I stalled out 4 times.. I had never stalled out my entire time here yet all of a sudden I began stalling out. The tester told me my shifting was great, road awareness was great, maintained proper lane control, my actual driving was great! But every stop light or stop sign I stalled out or almost stalled out. He said my problem was letting off the clutch too fast, I never learned clutch control in class so this was all new to me. It was so demoralizing to literally excel at everything and not be able to gey my cdl because of 1 problem. I test again tomorrow so I hope I get it tomorrow. How do you properly come off the clutch when at a stop?

That sucks. The fact you aced everything else is great though.

You may not have talked about clutch control in class but if you never stalled it before you obviously had the feel for it. Don't over think it. Sounds like you just had a bit of nerves hit you and you tried to rush it a bit.

Stay off the accelerator till you get the truck moving. Let the clutch out slowly and smoothly.

First gear start, ease off clutch. The engine torque in first should be enough to get you moving. Give it a little throttle and it should be a smooth transition. The higher the gear, the easier it is to stall.

    Luck in battle.

From a complete stop? Geez that's hard on the clutch. They can't fail you for starting in first and your immediate goal is to freakin pass. SOOOOOOOO, stack the odds in your favor and start off in first.
