I have a stock radio in my Freightliner (company truck), and it's all right, but I frequently use my iPhone to listen to music. I've been using an FM transmitter to play through the radio, but since I run the east coast I have to search for a station a lot. Is there an easy way to directly wire the iPhone to the radio, or replace the radio with one that has an input in the front. I've checked Crutchfields, but they don't have information about trucks.

get an inline fm transmitter, hooks into the antenna connection.
I have seen them cheaper than this but...

i'm pretty sure the adapter from your local stereo store for a volkswagon is the same as those for freightshaker and cheaper than the ones on that web page

heck, if the radio has a cassette player also, which most do, then get one of the adaptors that slide in the cassette player and then plugs the ipod, or cd player headphone jack to the adaptor to play the music thru the indash stereo. unless it has a cd player, then using the inline fm modulator would be the way to go.
