Basically a fully loaded three axle B rig at 46000 or whatever behaves just like a 18 wheeler tractor with a trailer loaded to 80000.

Thats the A difference, the trailer. A combination vehicle. You already have everything else generally. Find a Combination vehicle a full manual 18 wheeler and get the test done. Plus the endorsements. The extra endorsements don't make you extra money OTR but it will give a dispatcher flexibility if a paint load needs to go in a reefer in the dead of winter out west under heating rather than cooling. (Hazmat)

Others will chime in. But thats the difference between B and A among others.

Air brakes is not an endorsement. It’s a restriction. When going from b to an A, you will be doing all the air brake procedures again during the Pretrip for the road test
