I have seen several ads on some of the employment boards looking for ups freight drivers both van and flat bed. Reallycan seem to find much info on them. I have searched some older post but would like some current info. Anyone have any up to date info on what these positions are? Are they true over the road jobs or more of a regional type run? Will they take students? Any info would be appreciated. I live in Tampa. Any one who is local I would appreciate hearing from ya'll as well. Thanks inadvance.

UPS Freight is LTL and most cases an hourly paying job.You would need haszmat and they mostly required min.of 1 year experience. They may offer a driver appearance program like Fedex but like I posted on a another thread its a cat and mouse game, gotta apply for it as soon you see it posted.I never seen one offer by UPS so they might not offer it.Also as for pay not sure about here in FL,but I heard its around $19 - $25 dollars an hour, but i'm not sure.

I used to work for them. It was a different division before UPS bought overnight, now it's known as UPS Frieght Truckload. Which is otr, but in my case we were dedicated to tractor supply until they lost that contract 2 years ago. made 53,500 final year there, excellent benefits. But I do believe that they required 2 years experience to start. But just go to https://upsjobs.managehr.com/ to find whats availabe in your area in all the different parts of UPS and apply online. The worst they can say is no, at least that's how I look at it. Good luck!!!
