i know it kind of random but ive noticed by me that UPS doesnt use their doubles any more. I normally always see them use 53 footers or 48 footers. my terminal is right next to UPS and i never see the doubles go out any more

i will have to take a look at the terminal near me

i saw a set of doubles being pulled out the other day, but still conviced they rnt using them n e more since the rest of the yard is 53 and 48's. my friend drove for them as a temp and even tho he has his endorsement he said they never pulled them

As someone who is a bit in the know, i can tell you that is blatantly false. there is a lot of factors going on as to which trailer they use, especially for UPS. UPS-F I have no idea how they operate but UPS lives off of doubles/triples. Heck, their one building in indiana is named tri-city, not because of its proximity but because thats the spot where they can legally hook up triples.
ACH1130 Thanks this. -
well triples are illegal in my state, but the terminal by me never uses doubles n e more, maybe its easier with the 48 footer to manuver on the tight streets then
-
Double are used in the state of Maine. Triples are only legal in a few states.

job is much less stressful, money is alot better, but the schedule is HELL
impossible to know when to sleep...its dangerous what they are doing to us bottom guys, changing our start times 12-14 hours in the same week...we still get our 10 hours off but theres just no way to know when to sleep -
Lack of sleep is the number one reason I gave up my regular run and went back to the city,......
