Sounds like a lot of consistent work for seasonal workers.

I just got an email out of the blue from HR. Said they are hiring full-time tractor trailer drivers for my location at $20.94. Didn’t say anything about seasonal but I’m assuming it’s for covering vacations? I scheduled an interview June 11. I’ll hear them out. I REALLY want to work there again but I just can’t be laid off again. I like my job and it keeps my wife at home with the kids and our mortgage. If they said it’s got a good possibility of staying full time I’d consider. I know the pay your dues stuff.

All depends on your barn really. They are trying to staff up to some degree based on xyz variables. Latest buzz is sleeper teams.

I was looking to do another seasonal period until i signed the paper work and HR got the email from feeder manager to bring someone on permanent. So ill be starting the probation period next week.

    Best of luck

Most of it depends on your area and how much it is growing. If you kick ### and there is a lot of construction in your area (more houses, more people etc) you stand a chance of getting in. Just know going in that it is a massive publicly held company with bean counters and share holders that know nothing about the job that dictate your day to day life. Don't get me wrong here tho, it's a great opportunity to make some money. I started driving package (same pay rate as feeder) when I was 21 and left last year at 37 and have done very well for myself. Top rate (feel free to update this is you know the current) in local 384 in PA was 34.76/hr as of last May. I was told it's pretty close to that nation wide. If you get hired on permanently just remember you will be running nights for at least 15 years in most markets. If you have any questions about the company feel free to ask. Stay safe out there!
