UPS does not hire Owner Operators,, FEDEX ground does,,las November FEDEX was paying about $1.90/mile after fuel surcharge,,tractor must be all white and you will pull doubles,

 

UPS Freight leases on contractors. Just another cheap lease nothing special.

Just use the search bar. There is plenty of info. In simple terms, they pay about the same as a mega carrier, lots of overnight, and high miles. There is more detailed information on some threads about it. You can always call them and ask too.

 

I'm guessing that rate came from the counter of knowledge. FedEx Custom Critical doesn't even pay that on average.

I have an ex-UPS O/O staying at my place right now. I'll ask him when he wakes up.

 

he probably thinking about all the guys pulling the overflow around Christmas. otherwise theyre about .90 to 1.00 and fuel surcharge, no different than most lease purchase mega carrier deals

 

Skate is right on, except fedex pays just slightly better then most big carriers. And they do have a slightly better FSC then most megas. But be ready to run at night AND run fast. There is a reason so many fedex trucks crash in winter. They have to run fast and light on ice. If you don't meet their sched then you will be looking for a new place to put your white truck. But call them and ask them. I did. Wasn't the place for me but it might be for you.
