UPSF,Fedex freight,Old dominion or ABF

This thread is about UPS, ABF,(union) also FedEx, OD( non-union). There all great long term ltl companies to work for. If I had my choice it would be UPS, or ABF with there great contracts. The non-union ltl companies continue to stay somewhat competive with union scale. To answer the question alot of labor laws that are followed today were created by unions. Go read some history books, your answers are there.

I worked for AF...now Fed up for many years,,,pay was awesome

 

Paying well is a relative term. Compared to flipping hamburgers at McDonalds hauling cheap freight pays well but compared to other jobs it doesn't pay so well so it's sort of a matter of opinion or individual circumstances.

 

Huh .60 cents a mile & $26 an hour benefits out the ### , compare. ? Drive their trucks, must be a lot of good jobs in PA....kinda doubt that lol

 

Thanks to Obamacare it is hard to find good benefits anywhere in Pennsylvania

i've worked for UPSF (obviously) and FedEx freight and can say unbiasedly that both are OK companies.

i can't comment on the other two one way or the other.

 

What would be the better choice between ABF and FedEx Freight..City Driver?
