I need to start driving ASAP so I would really appreciate it if you guys could answer as quick as possible if you know!

    Are 3-7-7-3 splits possible?

I'm on a tight load I think I might've just screwed myself. Times are in military time. I'm not concerned with HOW MUCH time I'll be gaining back (receiver and shipper are close to each other so I'm guaranteed enough time to make it from receiver to shipper after spending 2-3 hours at the shipper so I'm not worried about that).

I'm ONLY concerned as to whether or not I'll get time back on that last 3 of the 3-7-7-3 split or if I'm essentially going to have to do a 3-7-7-7 split. So all the on duty/off duty time in between shifts is irrelevant and I'm not going to include them to make it simple. Times are given in central time zone.

    June 16

    A. Normal 10 hour break

    SB - 0130
    On Duty - 1147

    B. 3-7-7-3

    SB - 1810
    On Duty - 2041
    Duration - 2 hours 31 minutes

    June 17

    C. 3-7-7-3

    SB - 0156
    On Duty - 1035
    Duration - 8 hours 39 minutes

    D. 3-7-7-3

    SB - 1332

And this is where I'm at now guys. So is the 3-7-7-3 split possible and if so, at what time can I start driving right now for my split to be ok? Can I do it at 2032 here in a few minutes or do I need to wait later based on my last split sleeper period?

I have thoroughly confused myself and I could really use your help. I don't really want to wait the full 10 hours because I think I'm going to get too tired to complete the whole drive so I really want to start driving in 5 minutes if possible.

Well, that was 19 minutes ago.
    What did you do?

And is all the stress you are putting yourself through actually worth it in the long run?

Rest easy. Sleep does a body good. Get some you, I, and the rest will rest easy knowing a rested trucker driver is behind the wheel.

:confused:o_O:confused: and that's why I never did the split stuff.

it can get confusing if you're tired and you can screw it all up.

I have run splits back to back for several days. To the best of my knowledge, as long as the rules are properly adhered to, no issues with running splits for multiple days. I've probably done the 3. 7. 7. 3. Split, but can't remember a specific instance.
    Splits:
    1. Must have at least one portion that is 7 hours or more continuous in sleeper berth.
    2. The other portion has to be at least 2 hours of off duty or sleeper berth.
3.. Both split portions must add up to at least 10 hours. Order taken doesn't matter.

A common mistake made by many is thinking a split will allow them more hours, it doesn't. It is simply a way to have more flexibility with the hours you have. It makes things easier to fit into your 14 hour driving window since it allows you to be able to extend that window.
Also, if you take the shorter off duty portion, but afterward take a full 10 hour break. You must still have the longer portion (between 7 and 8 hours continuous in sleeper berth where both portions add up to at least 10 hours) as part of that 10 hour break. Although a mute point, IMHO, without showing BOTH portions of the split, you are technically in violation.
    There, clear as mud!

In general it doesn't matter. It can be 7/3 or 3/7.

Either way. They don't give you time back. They just pause the clock. So OPs question is pointless. If he is just trying to drive farther than he has time.

The only time to abuse split sleeper IMO is if you get delayed for maintenance or some weird road closure.
