US-129 on the border of TN and NC

I made that mistake one night in my old Honda. I was living in Sylva, NC at the time, and had to make my way back to Knoxville. Decided to take the "shortcut". I don't get carsick, but nearly did that night. Plus the fact it was after dark, and right at the exit of one curve, what do I spy but a large black bear!

Haven't learned many things in 52 years, but I never went that way again!

 

It is banned in North Carolina for vehicles over 30 feet. Tennessee hasnt felt the need to ban it despite the state of NC resticting it.

Whats even more perplexing is Tennessee has it listed as an STAA route!
