US 287 from Ft. Collins to Laramie vs I25 and I80

    It's a real nice drive, I think, but may be wise to avoid it during camper season or extreme winter weather. The Fort Collins traffic mess is a big consideration, I used to come through at 10 at night, so it didn't much matter. Next time, I'll have to try the cutoff road to check it out.

    I've been told you can stay on the two lane and get on 25 past the coop, also, should that become convenient. ;)

    Exactly, we deliver to the fireworks place on 287 So. of Laramie, the only approved route from Denver is 25 to 80 to 287, god help you if FoCo PD, CSP or Larimer SO catch on with a placarded load on 287 without a valid reason

    It actually used to be an approved route, about 15 yrs ago they changed it.
