The 60 minute expose was misleading to say the least. That particular stretch has a 70 mph limit, sheriff deputies are only pulling over for 80 or more.

Small towns spaced out a ways. I knew it as US 50 in many areas I think. I need to examine a map of that particular stretch west of Suffolk. I spent an awful lot of time along that road westward. I think 85 at Emporia comes to mind perhaps, a truckstop there. Should still be a nice little one. Room for maybe 50 trucks on three acres.

But the biggest thing you need to watch is the people with long driveways they will absolutely come out in front of you. Ive left some rubber along there a time or two.

You may be thinking of 58, I believe. That runs through Emporia and continues along close to the line towards Danville.

460 is a good road at least east of Petersburg. Flat and straight.

just got the last space in wytheville va. i81 x-77. circle k. was a nice run across there. of course, 22.75k in the box makes it easy. i back off a little around them curves when it looks to have a path or driveway. hell, in iowa(i think) they had atv's driving down the road. darn country folks. haha
