then one would only "theoretically" be working 6 months a year? good luck building up your bank account, credit rating, etc,etc..

Why not? We can haul ore at mines on 2 weeks in 2 weeks out
Company kept me out 10 days ONCE. Took a week off when I got in.

 

I believe this is a setup where you have 4 to 6 people, 2 to 3 teams , share a truck. The truck moves all year round but the teams alternate. Made for people that have other income and just want to work part time.
