I agree, the night and weekend dispatch suck ! Bunch of idiots. We've yelled at them plenty of times.

You still teaming ? If you are, get on the Ceva dedicated account. That's what we're on. We have our own night & weekend dispatch. All of them are older than 30, professional and easy to reach. We have their direct number.

Still teaming. Got a great lady as a partner. FM is cool, keeps us rolling but, then Friday rolls around the weekenders what to act like God. I don't need to go into because you know what we all go thru. FM will be back on Tuesday and we will talk to him about a schedule run. Good thing is we're in Ogden, Utah and our view is the mountains. You guys doing ok?

We're doing good. Truck broke down a week ago so we got assigned a 2015 automatic. Digging it. Drives like a car. Lol

Call HR and complain about the weekend dispatch. Call the driver liaison dept and find out who these people's supervisor is. Send that person an email.

I work for a mega... before coming werner I worked for a small family owned company... I had just unloaded in Laredo TX and was in line at the Blue Beacon to have my trailer washed out when my brother called to say my father had an aneurysm that ruptured and was in surgery.... I called my company to tell them and so I could get home... they said they did t have a load for me but would try to get me one but it wojld probably be a day or two.. so I asked if I could fly home, I would buy my own ticket... they said no cause there would be no one there to watchthe truck and trailer.. so I asked if I could deadhead home and I would even pay for the fuel... which they said no...

I did think seriously about abandoning the truck.. but knew that was wrong.. and, my dad would not want me to do that.. he taught me to have a good work ethic and to be responsible. .. Fortunately my brother called and my dads surgery went well... so it was okay if it took me a day or two to get back...

Well.. it took the company three weeks to get me home... but they did let me have a whole week off...

So.. I came to werner... one day I was in Cape Girardeau Mo and got a call from my Dad that my dog was very sick and at the vets, I called the vet and they said she was in bad shape and needed to go to the vet hospital in ames... I called werners drivers resources and told them.. they got ahold of safety and my fleet manger and had me drop my trailer and swap with another driver with a load coming to Omaha... where I live... I drove the trailer and dropped it at the recievers and bobtailed home and was able to take my dog to the animal hospital in ames...

Well, my dog was diagnosed with diabetes and would need insulin shots and stuff which was too much for my dad to handle and so I again called drivers resources and talked to them.. I was already on the waiting list for the menards flatedbed account which is a home nightly account but there wasnt an opening and there were two drivers ahead of me... but, they contacted the account manager and added another truck to the account and talked to the other two drivers who allowed me to jump ahaead of them.. so.. I started on that account that Wednesday. .. so I was able to be home to take care of my dad and my dog..

The thing is... I didnt call my dispatcher or fleet manager to get home or time off.. his job is to assign and move loads.. I called drivers resources and safety.. they took care of and took my truck off my dispatchetrs load board and got me home..

Most of the time it isnt that the megas dont care or wont do things.. drivers dont go througn the proper channels. .
